Sounds of Summer Screening Series
Sounds of Summer celebrated landmark live music concert films feat: Talking Heads ‘Stop Making Sense’ & Dave Chappelle’s ‘Block Party’ alongside intimate introductions by artists & directors behind each of the films. Over two nights we hosted thousands of guests at Exposition Park, home of the iconic Los Angeles Olympic Village to screen these two groundbreaking cinematic experiences. Proceeds of the event series benefitted My Friends Place whose mission helps to improve the lives of Los Angeles homeless youth & Compton Centennial High School diversifying their curriculum through added string orchestra, jazzband, concert band and advanced-placement music theory for the upcoming school year.
